In Norse mythology, Ratatoskr (Old Norse, generally considered to mean "drill-tooth" or "bore-tooth") is a squirrel who runs up and down the world tree Yggdrasil to carry messages between the eagle and the hawk Veðrfölnir, perched atop Yggdrasil, and the dragon Níðhöggr, who dwells beneath one of the three roots of the tree.

WTF IS A RATATOSKR?

In essence, Ratatoskr is a messenger, a transmitter of information, a gossip, even. What better name, then, for the marketing arm of our World Tree Studios? Ratatoskr is the marketing agent, the publicist of Norse mythology, and we are proud to use him as our mascot.
